Masturbation and Erection Disorders
Have you ever heard the line “too much of something is bad”? This applies to masturbation in men. Some men overly do this , over pornographic materials, and whatever else that catches their sexual interest. While this is an excellent technique to increase libido and determine the things that turn a man on, constant and vigorous masturbation can cause lack of erection during sex.
As with all good things, there are benefits. Some of these include: relaxation of muscles, stress relief and performance enhancement (stamina wise). Some men masturbate before dates so that they will not rush during sex. Some studies even claim that this could help prevent some types of prostate and testicular cancers. Whether this is true or not, masturbation practices will do a man good by promoting release of the brain’s opioid-like neurotransmitters, which invariably lead to feelings of well being.
However, masturbating frequently will lead to erection problems when a man does not delineate a limit to his practice. Stamina is often the cause of most sex related stress and anxiety. One may also feel burned out and unable to function without pornography (discussed in more detail in this post on porn culture and erection problems). In cases when a man’s libido is raging, but his stamina is lacking, erection help may come in the form of herbal Viagra, which will stimulate not only the brain but also the physiological functions of blood vessels to the penis, very similar to the synthetic drug, Viagra.
