Urologist first questions
When a man who suspects that he has erectile dysfunction enters a urologist’s clinic, the most probable questions he will hear first are the following:
1. Do you have erections during the night? and,
2. Do you wake up during the morning with an erection?
These particular questions are relevant to your case because by answering these honestly, the physician can immediately gauge whether your erection problem is bio-physically caused (a side effect of various drugs, and a symptom of diseases like atherosclerosis, diabetes and cancer) or psychosocially induced (performance anxiety, ego issues, depression, lack of trust in one’s ability to make love and others).
This video, Urologist Discusses ED, is taken from the Health Talk Show Interview with Domenico Manzone M.D, a practicing urologist, and is very informative. It tackles the causes of erection disorders and clarifies most hearsays related to this debilitating disease in men. He also touches on the treatments that men can avail of to improve their erections and over all sexual health. Most importantly, his message zeroes in on the importance of maintaining a good erection during sex and how one can distinguish whether an erection problem is caused by abnormalities in bodily function or ‘it’s all in the mind’.
One interesting point of discussion that he mentioned was related to andropause, the stage in a man’s life when he exhibits symptoms strikingly similar to those in women in menopause. He states that erection problems in 45 year old men may be caused by coronary arterial diseases, age related diseases and metabolism failure (diabetes). He also points out that men with known heart diseases will most likely have erection disorders.
He amusedly mentioned the irrelevance of some Humphrey Bogart movies where the hero is seen puffing incessantly on a cigarette and then gives a woman mind blowing sex; tagging these movies as misleading because smoking is a known risk factor of ED. Towards the end, he states that if he determines a case as not emotionally induced, the first step to ED recovery can be a visit to a cardiologist.

It was really so true, about the problem in growing age men. But more than that the tagging of cigaratte case is really important to know. It will lower down the sprem count and effect the fertility factor also.
